Job Description:
Sagitec is seeking a Product Owner to work with department Executive Directors, Business Owners, system developers, quality assurance, product delivery, training, and sales teams. The role involves performing business and system analysis to upgrade and modernize existing business processes and systems for our Benefit Administration Solution. You will be responsible for the design and evolution of the system to create a solution that satisfies our clients’ unique business requirements.
Responsibilities:

Lead the evolution of a product roadmap and present to stakeholders.

Develop business cases for the creation of new products, epics, and features for the benefit administration solution (BAS).

Analyze request for proposal (RFP) requirements to define minimal viable product (MVP).

Create a program backlog based on input and feedback from business owners, industry regulations, and emerging trends.

Present business cases to business owners to ensure buy-in for the product.

Establish feature priority and size user stories.

Manage story elaboration and acceptance criteria for the product features.

Facilitate meetings with agile teams to help them understand the functional design and to resolve issues.

Monitor team progress and provide status reports to the SCRUM Master, project manager, and supporting resources.

Identify, communicate, escalate, and resolve team dependencies and impediments with stakeholders.

Manage team capacity, capability, and velocity for an iteration.

Validate completion and accuracy of developed features and stories.

Deliver a system demonstration for the program increment release.

Present the business/functional design and training support to project delivery teams, sales teams, and clients.

Seek and evaluate input/feedback on the product from business owners, project delivery teams, and clients.

Manage the onboarding and training of resources.

Foster a high performing team and facilitate ongoing team improvements.
Qualifications:
-
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience working in a Junior Product Owner or Business Analyst role for the design, development, and implementation of large-scale solutions.

Evaluated business requirements and worked with subject matter experts (SME) to translate vision into a functional design.

Implemented software using Agile development with an emphasis on SAFe.

Administered scope management, impact and traceability analysis, and change control administration.
-
Coordinated the responsibilities of onsite and offsite project teams.
-
Developed task plans and managed time effectively across multiple simultaneous project activities to meet target deadlines.

Supported onsite and offsite project teams through all phases of the SDLC to meet deadlines.
-
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical staff.

The ability to speak comfortably in front of audiences of 10 people or more.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Strong preference is given for experience with the implementation of an enterprise, product-based solution.

Experience with defined benefit, defined contribution, and health/life insurance benefit systems.

Proficiency with CASE tools including rules engine (logical rules and decision tables), business intelligence, and user interface (UI) prototyping.
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, computer science, or financial fields.
