The Paint Line Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the Paint Department production. The Supervisor will support team members in all aspects of safety, quality, and productivity while using available resources.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Apply the Paint Department 6S program including recycling processes.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Confirm completion of on-the-job training including completion of training records.
  • Ensure optimum operation of the paint process and be the subject matter expert.
  • Examines product to determine assurance to company and customer specifications and makes necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
  • Follow and enforce all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Fulfill production priority scheduling based on available resources and maintain proper time and production records.
  • Interprets company policies, alerts, and communications to Employees and assists with solving work problems.
  • Maintain required time and attendance records
  • Mentor Trainees by orientating them to their tools, resources, and work areas and properly train them on processes.
  • Perform job change-overs and required testing of product to ensure specifications are met.
  • Perform to the expectation of achieving Paint Department key performance indicators.
  • Set up machines and equipment and responsible for proper maintenance of line, reporting discrepancies to manager.
  • Supports and executes Department initiatives for continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity matters.
  • Troubleshoot equipment / part problems and supply corrective action feedback in a timely manner.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to ensure proper quality of work and efficiency.
  • Travel is not likely or 0%.
  • Training needs are based on Techniplas’ ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 training matrix for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned according to the job classification and overtime may be assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma required preferred AND;
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience required, or 2 years manufacturing supervision experience preferred AND;
  • Must possess demonstrated analytical capability; ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent oral and electronic communication; ability to read, write, and speak English; intermediate level for enterprise resource planning software, and use of basic hand tools experience is required.
