Quality Services Manager Job at CrossCountry Freight Solutions
The Quality Service Manager will work with customers, vendors, and operations to resolve issues with shipments related to freight claims. This position will help investigate shipments to validate claims and work with customers to assess responsibility and to determine the root cause.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm *this position is onsite: 1841 Hancock Dr. Bismarck, ND 58501*
Pay: $60,000/year (Depends on Experience)
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Effectively use tools related to matching freight, documenting shipment dispositions, etc.
- Monitor controls of paperwork and processes that impact claims such as timely communication of exceptions on shipper loaded trailers and proper handling of PODs.
- Ensure claim payments are processed according to contracted claims liability.
- Participates in investigations and completes reports documenting investigation results.
- Conducts loss prevention assessments and audits.
- Conducts trends analyses and provides recommendations for correction and/or improvements.
- Establishes and communicates department goals, monitoring employee performance to ensure they are met or exceeded.
- Responds to and resolves issues beyond the scope of supervisory staff and maintains on call status.
Skills and Knowledge
- 5+ years of Claims/Transportation experience.
- Strong critical thinking and planning ability.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (written and verbal), analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
- Knowledge of statistical process control desirable.
