GENERAL SUMMARY

Seeking dishwashers to join our new restaurant team. Ideal candidates must be friendly, positive, energetic, highly motivated individuals who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant/golf course environment. Under the direct supervision of the Food and Beverage Manager, dishwashers are responsible for effectively and efficiently cleaning dishware and kitchen equipment at The Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills. Peak season includes long hours, weekends, and holidays. Previous experience is preferred but not necessary.

JOB FUNCTION

  • Load, run and unload the dish machine. Always maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the restaurant and events.
  • Keep the dish machine and surrounding areas clean and organized. Ensure wash cycle is sanitary and effective. Report any problems immediately.
  • Maintains temperatures and chemical levels up to health and safety standards.
  • Handle all items being cleaned carefully to prevent breakage.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage and work areas at all times.
  • Assist with receipt of deliveries.
  • Actively works with coworkers as a team. Willingness to assist others without being asked.
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with management team, other kitchen staff, front of house staff, golf course staff and guests.
  • Knowledge and basic understanding of kitchen/restaurant operations.
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
  • Must have organizational skills.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks with many interruptions.
  • Ability to follow directions and instructions.
  • Must be able to work with little to no supervision and be enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team player.

    Working Environment/Physical Activities:

  • Must be able to perform a varied work schedule: mornings, nights, weekends and holidays are required.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Work in different indoor and outdoor temperatures, extreme heat & cold.
  • May work near or with moving mechanical parts, sharp tools and knives, heated stove tops, ovens and fryers.
  • Occasionally exposed to slippery floor conditions and smell unusual odors generated by malfunctioning equipment or chemical reactions.
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Summer season includes long hours, weekends and holidays.
