Retail Store Manager
Antique Archaeology Iowa is looking for a Retail Store Manager. We are the home base for Mike Wolfe of History Channel's American Pickers! Located in historic LeClaire, Iowa , we have been delivering personalized customer service for over a decade. As a top tourist destination in LeClaire, Antique Archaeology provides a unique retail environment where our guests can shop vintage and antique items, unique home decor, collectibles and branded merchandise. At Antique Archaeology our Store Managers:

• Attract, inspire, retain and promote top talent.
• Are passionate about our customers and our brands, know and understand his/her store in detail and understands the competition in the market.
• Understand how stores operate with regard to staffing, payroll, marketing and visual merchandising and meets all execution and compliance goals.
• Demonstrate business acumen including (but not limited to) how sales, profitability, inventory, markdowns, etc. affect the larger organization.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty outlined in our Job Description satisfactorily.

Responsibilities:

Hiring, motivating, and training sales team, alongside Floor Manager.

Inventory management, including forecasting and ordering merchandise.

Communicating merchandise orders with vendors while keeping the vendor relationship in good standing.

Meet regularly with management team members to set goals and developmental milestones, source product, forecast orders, review sales.

Ensure Antique Archaeology merchandising is clean, well stocked and displayed according to visual guidelines.

Drive store financial performance analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, making adjustments to increase efficiencies and achieve goals.

Product understanding and sourcing to achieve the highest profit margins.

Back office duties including paying store bills, paying invoices for merchandise, services and supplies, filing employee information, creating and following budgets for spending, ,

POS knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and comfortable . We currently use Light Speed.

Attending tourism meetings and staying current with local events and industry trends.

Qualifications

-Minimum of 3 year Retail Management experience.

-Reporting / basic book keeping experience.

-Team Player with communication skills.

-Strong sales background with sales history.

-Staff management and leadership experience.

-POS knowledge. Numbers (spreadsheet)/Quickbooks Online knowledge a plus.

-Inventory forecasting and ordering experience with attention to previous sales, margins, etc.

-Flexible when needed with weekend/holiday availability.

-Strong and organized office skills

-Availability 9:30-6:30 Mondays-Saturdays and 10:30-4:30 Sundays
