Assistant Store Manager, Retail

Pet Pantry Warehouse is looking to add a new member to our management team in Larchmont NY! PLEASE NOTE OUR STORE IS LOCATED IN LARCHMONT NY at 2444 Boston Post Rd.

Pet Pantry Warehouse is a local family owned and operated pet retail company proudly serving 7 locations in Westchester NY and Fairfield CT communities for over 75 years. At Pet Pantry Warehouse we offer the highest quality pet foods and supplies, as well as knowledgeable advice from our extensively trained staff! Assistant Store Manager/Keyholder applicants must have previous retail management experience with references. Experience with pets and the pet industry is preferred but not required. A strong background in customer service, staff management, and inventory control is required. Leadership and communication skills are a must!

Other Requirements/Details required (but not limited to):

-Full time hourly pay,35-50 hours/week, 5-6 days/week (must include weekend days) with flexible schedule.

-Key Holder-responsible for opening and closing store

-Proficiency and familiarity in use of Microsoft Excel*, Word, and Access as well as Google Docs.

*All applicants must pass an evaluation of their skills using Microsoft Excel.

-Cash Reconciliations-counting and dropping deposits, change runs

-Receiving/Inventory maintenance

-Staff Management and Training

-Merchandising

-Floor Sales and Customer Service

-Event Planning and Operation

-Able to lift at least 60#

-Van Deliveries

-General Store Maintenance

Assistant Store Manager hires will begin employment with the developmental title of "Lead Associate" for a minimum of 90 days. During this period you will be trained in all sales, operational, and management duties before the official classification as Assistant Store Manager after passing required milestones.
