Seasonal Housekeeper (Southampton) Job at The Chef Agency
Active family is seeking to hire an energetic, detail oriented, and efficient Housekeeper to assist with the upkeep and cleaning duties out of secondary residence in Southampton, NY. This is a full-time, 5 day workweek, roughly 10 to 12 hour days, starting mid-May to mid-September. This role would provide accommodations for non-local candidates (Southampton). The most successful candidate will have extensive experience in a fast-paced environment with a large household staff. This role will require to work alongside and cohesively with a team of 15+ housekeepers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- All aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residence; museum quality cleaning including care for fine furniture, art, antiques, etc.
- Polishing fine surfaces includes silver, brass, china, crystal, marble, etc.
- Assisting with the planning and execution of small and large scale events
Requirements:
- Strong command of English language; outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working in a private home
- Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; willing and able to take direction well
- Thorough knowledge of deep household cleaning, and storage organization
- Polished, poised, and professional in both mindset and manner; use of utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Flexibility in scheduling with the willingness to work additional hours as needed
- Valid Drivers License
- Legally able to work in the United States
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
