Job Description

Reporting to the VP Total Rewards, the Senior Manager of Benefits will be responsible for supporting the organization's benefits strategy and managing the organization's benefits programs (e.g., medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, life insurance, disability). Ensure programs align with business objectives and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Research plans and providers to develop benefits programs that optimize costs, maintain external competitiveness, and meet organizational goals. Oversee annual enrollment process, wellness programs, benefits communication, and relationships with external providers. Work with leaders across functional areas on shared initiatives. This position will play a significant role in supporting the aggressive growth and performance of USACS.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage the administration of benefit programs; implementing and managing external benefits providers and ensuring service levels and return on investment.
  • Responsible for management of the systems and technology to support the benefit plans. Works closely with Payroll, HRIS and Employee Services as it related to benefits.
  • Help develop benefit strategy and recommend cost saving measures that are consistent with the overarching total rewards strategy.
  • Conducts budgeting and financial analysis of employee benefits programs. Monitors high-cost claims, targets problem claims areas. Ensure adequate estimates, forecasts, and calculations of expenditures in benefits for budget planning and tracking.
  • Manages existing disease management and wellness programs as well as analyze effectiveness of programs and research/recommend new initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with governmental regulations related to benefit programs and labor law, including ERISA, FMLA, and HIPAA. This includes required testing and audits and SOX compliance.
  • Ensure proper day to day administration of benefit changes and enrollments are processed by the payroll team.
  • Educate and mentor all HR Associates to guide them in their communications with NA employees in relation to the employees benefit plans. Manages communication efforts and tools for employees to be well informed of their benefits. Also serves as primary contact for employees related to more complex benefit issues and handles the administration of FMLA and Disability issues.
  • Primary contact with Benefit consultants and plan providers to ensure efficient administration of benefit plans.
  • Implement programs providing effective communication and training to employees.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and report data in an accurate, timely and meaningful manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets, database and word processing computer applications
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills including the ability to adapt and evolve as situations arise.
  • Workday experience is a plus
  • Aptitude for learning new systems
  • Ability to work with sensitive data and maintain strict confidentiality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • B.S. required, business, finance or human resources preferred
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in benefits design and administration

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform job

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,347.00 - $150,578.00 per year
