Senior Training and Event Specialist
About the Position: The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is currently seeking a Senior Training and Event Specialist for the Human Resources Development division of Central Office. This position is responsible for the coordination of trainings and events hosted or sponsored by ODMHSAS. This involves coordinating logistics, contracts, and the purchasing of material and services. The incumbent will oversee the process for obtaining CEU and CME credits offered through ODMSHAS. Additionally, this position may supervise lower-level staff.

NOTE: Alternate hiring at a lower level available based on experience
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in event & meeting planning, training, human resource development or education, or other relevant experience; substitution allowed for equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preference may be given to those with one or more of the following:
  • Event & meeting planning experience.
  • Those working on obtaining or have obtained GMS, CMP, or GCMP certifications.
Special Requirements:
  • Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position.
