Software Deverlopment Test Engineer

Location : Indianapolis, USA

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Writing detailed test plans and test cases that ensure all aspects of a product are thoroughly tested
• Developing automated tests to run frequently or continuously during a software product’s development cycle
• Interacting with other members of the development team, including programmers, designers, project managers, and product managers
• Reviewing code written by developers to ensure that it is error free and meets stated requirements
• Identifying defects or errors in existing software programs and suggesting improvements to fix them
• Writing code to automate tests or to create new features in an existing application
• Participating in meetings with clients to discuss requirements for new products or updates to existing products
• Ensuring that all staff members are aware of any changes in procedure that might affect their work
• Analyzing existing products to identify areas for improvement or development of new features with system users to understand the scope of projects
• Work with software developers and project support teams
• Monitor applications and software systems
• Carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing, and scalability testing & write and execute test scripts
• Run manual and automated tests
• Test in different environments including web and mobile
• Write bug reports & review documentation
• Carry out resource planning
• Work towards departmental and project deadlines
• Provide quality assurance
• Provide objective feedback to software development project teams
• Troubleshoot and problem solve
• Design tests to mitigate risk

Must have Skills:

• Software testing and development in regulated environments
• BDD / TDD
• Manual and regression / perf
• NW and protocols [nice]
• Test Automation FWs

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
