We are currently seeking a Mid Level Software Engineer to join our team developing avionics mission processors. This individual will be responsible for developing software used to test the avionics processors developed at our Owego, NY location. Individual will contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, preliminary and detailed design, implementation, integration and test, product sustainment and support for existing and new product development.

We are seeking individuals who comfortable working on cross functional teams with demonstrated strong communication and problem solving skills to work on-site at our Owego, NY location.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.
Desired Skills:
Practical experience developing embedded software solutions in C or C++ within a Real Time Operating System (RTOS) (e.g VxWorks, Greenhills, or similar such as Linux)

• Understanding of open architectures & modular design

Agile software development experience (e.g. Scrum)
Background using process tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, git, Jenkins)

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

• Knowledge of DevSecOps

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
