Job Description

The Stockhandler orders, receives, records, stores, prepackages, issues, and maintains adequate stock of material, equipment and supplies in the T&D Maintenance storeroom. In addition, the employee may deliver materials to field locations and prepare materials for specific jobs. Other duties include assisting with environmental issues, maintaining shop and yard cleanliness, performing weekly material inventories, and other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A High School diploma or the equivalent is required. A valid motor vehicle driver’s license with a proven safe driving record is required. The ability to obtain a CDL-B driver’s license and a fork truck driver’s license is also required. Other requirements include: mechanical aptitude, manual and finger dexterity, the ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and learn various computer systems, including MAXIMO. Physical requirements include the ability to: push/pull 50 to 100 lbs and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. Previous warehouse experience including proficient computer skills is preferred. Familiarity with distribution line material is preferred. Normal working hours for this position will be from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday unless otherwise assigned. Individual filling this position will be expected to work a reasonable amount of overtime and will have storm restoration and emergency assignments. The ultimate wage rate for this position is $30.03 per hour
