Duties:

Airport wheelchair dispatchers are responsible for dispatching frontline wheelchair agents to meet and assist airline passengers with disabilities and or needing any other extra assistance (hearing impaired, visually impaired, etc.). Additionally, these agents communicate with airline staff, track passenger records, and keep track of equipment inventory. Other duties include but are not limited to;

• Distribute incoming flight/passenger information to frontline agents & supervisors
• Follow up with updated information as received
• Maintain lines of communication with frontline agents, Leadership, and applicable airline staff though the use of two-way radios

• Maintain passenger logs and update AvTech (dispatching system)

• Handle phone traffic

• Assist with passenger services as required

Qualifications:

• Applicants must have a valid drivers license or state ID and be able to pass a federal background check
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to physically perform required work
• Professional appearance
• Customer service skills
• Dependable, self motivated and responsible
• Ability to work a flexible, rotating schedule, including nights, early mornings, and weekends
