Uinta Academy is located at the base of the beautiful Wellsville Mountains in Cache Valley, and is a residential mental health school focused on the treatment of an all-female population.

Responsibilities:

The Youth Counselor works with the young women in a home like environment to monitor for safety and well-being. The Youth Counselor models and teaches coping skills to our clients who are struggling emotionally. The Youth Counselor will work in a wide variety of therapeutic interventions, e.g., home management, recreation therapy, day and overnight trips, and equine and group therapies. We are looking for an individual that is able to work in a compassionate manner, and actively participate in the ongoing care of the whole person.

Job Requirements:

· Ability to pass a background check.

· Have an excellent driving record.

· Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities in a fast moving, challenging environment.

· Must work two Sundays per month.

Schedule:

· Part-time and full-time positions available.

· Rotating schedule; Some mornings, some evenings.

· Typical week-day schedule is 6:45a-2:45p and 2:45p-10:45p.

· Typical weekend schedule 8:00a-3:45p and 3:45p-11:30p.

Salary:

· $14-$16 per hour

**Wage differential for evenings and weekends.
