Strategic Insight, Ltd. is seeking Knowledge Management Professionals (Mid. to Senior Level) (Staff Associate), to support several programs/tasks with DOD command level offices. Job location is a blend of support on site at the Washington Navy Yard with telework possible from home and at Strategic Insight s office in Washington, DC. Join our growing Digital Strategy team and be a part of our efforts in digital transformation and Data/Application migration from desktop to SharePoint managed services. Will work in collaboration with SharePoint Developers, Communications, Education and Architect professionals as well as program office clients. Our team regularly uses agile techniques for developing innovative program solutions. We are looking for KM professionals with new ideas to share and a willingness to work with the team to continually exceed our client s expectations.

Mandatory Requirement: Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility for a government security clearance at the Secret level.

The ideal candidate for this knowledge sharing career opportunity will help champion organization-wide knowledge sharing, so that the organization s know-how, information, and experience is shared inside and (as appropriate) outside the organization with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

To be successful, you will need a good sense of design, proofreading, grammar, and analytical skills; an ability to effectively communicate and work with others at all levels; and a self-starter, goal-oriented individual who provides timely feedback on progress made on assignments. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain a KM strategy and Roadmap" for incorporating KM objectives, goals, function, and tasks into the Digital Transformation program.
  • Leads the execution of the Knowledge Management Strategy based on the client s vision, knowledge solutions and tools to advance the Digital Transformation process.
  • Participates in evolving the overall organizational Digital Strategy and always ensures that the KM strategy remains in alignment.
  • Supports the ongoing delivery of a tailored and relevant client/organization wide briefing/training process through collaboration with other stakeholders to ensure roles/responsibilities and maintenance of the end-to-end cycle is efficient and effective.
  • Guides process improvement efforts by identifying knowledge gaps, propose policy solutions to resolve the gap, and lead development teams in the automation of the new process.
  • Promotes knowledge sharing through the organization's operational business processes and systems by, among others, strengthening links between knowledge sharing and the information systems, and improving integration among information systems in the organization, to facilitate seamless exchange of information across systems.
  • Collaborates with the team in applying internal process improvement initiatives to process documentation when required.
  • Provides constant communication between the internal teams and client; operating as the liaison between stakeholders/client and internal leadership to support knowledge base content creation and maintenance
  • Works with multiple commercial and governmental agencies to facilitate/support technical and operational projects in support of the Digital Transformation.
  • Leverages working relationships with cross functional teams to collaborate in the development of innovative solutions for the SharePoint Platform, System Upgrades, and associated technologies, such as the Power App development suite.
  • Ensures compliance with the client s IT Governance Plan and Service Level Availability.
  • Monitors the quality and effectiveness of KM documentation in the enterprise and education outcomes, including developing educational resources and/or facilitating training sessions.
  • Provides support for the establishment and nurturing of communities of practice, including workshops, one-on-one guidance, and troubleshooting.

(Senior-Level) Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Communicates the KM strategy throughout the enterprise using various methods, oversees the delivery of the message down to the KM techs, and offers additional clarification if necessary.
  • Offers expertise in evolving the overall organizational Digital Strategy and ensures that the KM strategy remains in alignment.
  • Supports the ongoing delivery of a tailored and relevant client/organization wide briefing/training process through collaboration with other stakeholders to ensure roles/responsibilities and maintenance of the end-to-end cycle is efficient and effective.
  • Establishes role as being KM lead point of contact across the organization in the continued drive in the use of knowledge sharing automation, becoming an SME on the relevant applications.
  • Guides process improvement efforts by identifying knowledge gaps, propose policy solutions to resolve the gap, and lead development teams in the automation of the new process.
  • Promotes knowledge sharing through the organization's operational business processes and systems by, among others, strengthening links between knowledge sharing and the information systems, and improving integration among information systems in the organization, to facilitate seamless exchange of information across systems.

  • Leverages working relationships with cross functional teams to collaborate in the development of innovative solutions for the SharePoint Platform, System Upgrades, and associated technologies, such as the Power App development suite.
  • Ensures compliance with the client s IT Governance Plan and Service Level Availability.
  • Monitors the quality and effectiveness of KM documentation throughout the enterprise and education outcomes, including developing educational resources.
  • Leads all KM discussions and ensures that information is shared with KM techs across the enterprise, as well as develops and facilitates KM education training sessions on various topics.
  • Provides support for the establishment and nurturing of communities of practice, including workshops, one-on-one guidance, and troubleshooting.

Success for working in this position requires:

  • Experience with knowledge management systems, processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with developing and delivering knowledge sharing programs within an organization s information infrastructure.
  • Experience with SharePoint (Online and 2019 (On Premises).
  • Out of the box functionality, associated technologies such as NINTEX and Power BI desired
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 /MS O365 SharePoint Online, TEAMS, One Drive and Exchange Online and legacy MS Office applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • At the mid-level, undergraduate degree and 7 years related or master s degree and 10 years at the Sr level. Additional years of experience can be substituted for education.
  • Knowledge Management certification a plus.
  • Experience in data management, SharePoint and cloud migration required.
  • Experience in setting organizational data governance from start to finish is desired.
  • Familiarity with DoD, Department of the Navy, or other Federal Agency.
