The General Mobile Terminal Operator position will be based in Anchorage, Alaska and is part of the Crowley Fuels division, where we transport, distribute, and sell petroleum fuel products to more than 160 communities in the state of Alaska. Responsibility and Duties:

  • Travel to any Alaska location as directed by the Company.
  • Primary job duties to support terminal operations.

Specific job duties include:

  • Fuel Truck Driver
  • Plant Operator
  • Semi-skilled/Skilled Laborer
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Secondary job duties that are preferred although not required include:
  • General Mechanic
  • Welder
  • Equipment Operator

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Successful pre-employment background and drug test
  • DOT Medical Card
  • Alaska Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker and HAZMAT Endorsements
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • 24-hour HAZWOPER certificate
  • Experienced in Tank Farm Operations
  • General Maintenance Skill (i.e., facility and or equipment)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Welding Certification
  • SIDA Credential

Work Location and Schedule:

  • Point of Hire is Alaska. Employees that reside in Alaska are responsible for all costs associated for getting to the nearest Alaskan hub city (Anchorage, Fairbanks, Bethel, Nome, Kotzebue, or Kenai). Employees that do not reside in Alaska are responsible for all costs associated for getting to Anchorage, Alaska.
  • Wages will be paid for actual time spent traveling between the work assignment location and the originating Alaska hub city.
  • Work schedule is flexible, dependent upon operational requirements and is to be mutually agreed upon between the Company and the employee.
  • The work week will commence on the first day of a scheduled work assignment.
  • No more than 6 consecutive weeks shall be worked by any one employee without a minimum of a 2 week break before commencement of a new work assignment.
  • A minimum of 10 hours per day for all days worked.
  • Overtime pay will be paid for any hours worked over 8 hours in any one given day or 40 hours in any given week.

Rate of Pay:

  • Journeyman Mobile Terminal Operator Wage - Refer to Rule 6.05
  • General Mobile Terminal Operator Wage- Refer to Rule 6.05
  • Company will pay all travel expenses from nearest Alaskan hub city to the work assignment.
  • Reimbursement for subsistence shall be actual cost incurred not to exceed the work assignment location Meal Per Diem rate as defined by the General Services Administration.
  • The Company will provide a Corporate Travel Card to cover the qualified expenses, for which the employee is responsible for the accurate and timely submittal of expenses prior to the 5th of every month via the Company's Travel Card reporting system.
  • Company will provide lodging for travel or work assignments away from location of residence of record.

Classification Differential:

Classification as a Journeyman Mobile Terminal Operator will start after all applicable certifications have been acquired and a minimum of 3 years satisfactory job performance has been completed unless mutually agreed to between the Company and the Union

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43.00 per hour
