Summary:


Lead, plan, and administer Plant production operations and requirements to assure optimum utilization of personnel, materials, and facilities for meeting customer requirements at our molding facility. Manage a continuous program to: (1) improve operating performance using lean principles; (2) pursue world class performance and deployment of best practices; (3) meet required both safety and quality regulatory standards; (4) implement equipment and processes to produce new products as well as improving efficiency of current processes


Responsibilities:


Manage Plant Production Operations
  • Manage Plant Production Operations to ensure optimum utilization of personnel, materials and physical assets
  • Foster a culture of ongoing employee engagement to enable continuous improvement using lean principles
  • Develop the Kirksville management team through ongoing coaching and leadership
  • Lead and execute the strategy for the Kirksville plant
  • Co-ordinate the overall Management Strategy at the Plant.
  • Strategic and Annual Operational Planning
  • Capital Planning and Execution
  • Ensure regulatory Conformance (FDA, ISO, and EC Sterile/Non-Sterile Medical Device Directives)
  • Liaise with Employer Groups and Government Agencies
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and walking
  • Frequent conference calls
  • Domestic and international travel


Work Experience Requirements


  • Number of Overall Years Necessary: 12-15
  • 12+years of experience in Production or Supply Chain Management in a high volume, low unit cost manufacturing environment
  • 8+ years in a Leadership Role including supervision of staff (hire, terminate, performance evaluation) and budgeting
  • 5+ years Capital Planning experience preferred
  • 5+ Years Labor relations experience preferred
  • 5+ Years in a Lean Manufacturing environment preferred
  • 3+ Years Medical Device experience preferred; molding experience would be an advantage


Education Requirements


  • B.S. / B.A in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related discipline (required
  • MBA or MS or Masters in Engineering (preferred)


Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:


  • Team Based Manufacturing Knowledge
  • Enterprise resource planning system knowledge
  • Distribution Operations knowledge
  • Contract negotiation skills
  • Medical Device regulatory knowledge
